摘要
This paper presents a numerical methodology to investigate the now developing through the mitral valve with the aim of realising a simple model able to support clinicians in assessing non-invasive methodologies. An unstructured grid generation and a high order control volume method, developed in the framework of the immersed boundary method, are the main computational tools adopted to simulate the problem. Results are presented to demonstrate the potentiality of the approach.
