A quality of experience framework for audio and video transmission

This contribution describes the development of a mechanism/framework to evaluate QoE using QoS metrics, network feedback, and dynamic user requirements. The use of a framework is presented for studying, measuring and improving the QoE for multimedia streams. The work is based on the hypothesis that a better QoE can be achieved when the QoS and its interaction with the network and application layers is considered as a whole rather than a single entity.
