摘要
The present study aimed towards the utilization of the approaches for the effective treatment of real pharmaceutical industry wastewater. Oxidation of pharmaceutical wastewater was studied in a high pressure reactor, operated at temperatures between 450 and 600 degrees C. The parameters used were the temperature, pharmaceutical wastewater concentration, oxidant concentration and residence time. The results demonstrated that the supercritical water oxidation (SCWO) process decreases the TOC up to more than 80% in very short reaction times (at a residence time of 3-12 min). This investigation will provide fundamental method for developing a pretreatment method of pharmaceutical industry wastewater with flexibility, simplicity and high activity.
