Similarity solutions to a class of boundary layer problems in the theory of non-Newtonian fluids

摘要：
This paper deals with a class of singular nonlinear boundary value problems g(1/n) (x)g " (x) + x = 0, - k < x < 1, 0 < n less than or equal to 1, g' (-k) = C, g(1) = 0; k > 0. It is shown numerically that for each set of parameters values of n, C, and k(used in compution),there are exactly two solutions for the problem. Physically, this non-uniqueness is related to multiple values of the skin friction.
