Effect of Physical Exercise on Mental Health and Subjective Well-Being in The Elderly

摘要
To explore the effect of physical exercise on mental health and subjective well-being in the elderly, 72 elderly were selected into 2 groups (sports population group and non-sports population group) and investigated with SCL-90 and subjective well-being questionnaire. The results showed that sports population group's SCL-90 scores, average points, positive projects, interpersonal relationship, depression factor points were obviously lower than non-sports population group; Personal well-being index(PWI) of sports population were higher than non-sports population group,while national well-being index(NWI) of two groups were not significant different. That indicated physical exercise could improve the elderly's mental health and subjective well-being.
