摘要：

The study attempts to examine the factors that limit the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. The primary objective of the study was to present and evaluate the factors that support and hinder the development of entrepreneurship in the sector on the basis of surveys conducted among selected entrepreneurs. It was found that the development of the SME sector largely depends on the financial support and advisory assistance of local government institutions. An important factor was the lack of suitably qualified staff and complicated tax regulations.
