摘要
The main purpose of apicectomy is surgical removal of periapical lesions with root apices to prevent bacterial incorporation into the adjacent bone. The method is applicable in cases of localized and diffuse periapical lesions, cysts, tumors, etc. The most common complication during endodontic surgery of the upper posterior teeth is communication with a maxillary sinus (13% frequency, according to literature data). The present paper presents three cases of apical surgery: the first - apicectomy of the upper right-sided second premolar, second - apical surgery of maxillary right-sided first molar, the third case - apical surgery of the maxillary left-sided first premolar with platelet-rich fibrin incorporation into the bony defect. All cases have communication with the maxillary sinus during the surgical procedure, which was closed by flap reflection in initially anatomical position with or without plateletrich fibrin incorporation; no postoperative complications occurred.
