Fraction and phase spacing of fibrous intermetallic δ-LiAl in hypoeutectic Al-Li alloys by unidirectional solidification

摘要
In this work, in situ composites of hypoeutectic AI-LI alloys are prepared by directional solidification technique, and influence of solute composition and solidification parameters on die volume fraction and phase spacing of fibrous delta-LiAl are studied. The results show that a regular eutectic structure is corresponding to a very narrow range of lithium content under the suitable G/V ratio; growth velocity influences strongly on the volume fraction, phase Spacing, and diameter of the of delta-LiAl fibres. Finally, solidification behaviour of the in situ composites is discussed.
