摘要
vortex-excited resonance is one of the serious disadvantage response induced by wind for the long-span bridge. It normally happens at a lower wind speed, and is susceptible to the change of aerodynamic configuration of structure. While vehicles are driving on the bridge, the outlook of the shape of bridge section will be changed significantly which would lead to aerodynamic performance of bridge. In order to study the effect of vehicle on the vortex-excited resonance of bridge in different traffic flow, series of wind tunnel test had been carried out using free hanging section model. The results indicate that the appearance of the vehicles is good at restraining the bridge vortex-induced resonance in different traffic flows and from the safety point of view, the vehicles effect on vortex-excited vibration on a real bridge is not necessary to be considered.
