Structural and optical modification of NiWO4 - Formation of NiWO4/SnPc nanocomposite for improved photocatalytic activity

摘要
Nickel tungstate/tin phthalocyanine nanocomposite samples are synthesized by the solvent evaporation method. The modification of structural and optical properties of NiWO(4 )by the formation of NiWO4/SnPc composites is studied using X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, UV-visible and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The improvement of photocatalytic property of NiWO(4 )by the formation of nanocomposite is also investigated using Rhodamine blue as a model pollutant. The present work constitutes the first report of the synthesis and characterization of NiWO4/SnPc nanocomposites.
