摘要
We investigated the allelopathic effect of shoot and root water extracts of Cyperus esculentus L. on germination and growth of test plants in bioassay and pot experiments. Water extracts were made from different plant parts of Cyperus esculentus, 12.5g fresh biomass was stirred into 100 ml distilled water. Maize (Zea mays L.), sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.), white mustard (Sinapis alba L.), sugarbeeet (Beta vulgaris L.) and common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.) were chosen as test species. Shoot and root water extracts of Cyperus esculentus did not significantly influence the germination of the test species in bioassay and pot experiments. However, the shoot water extract of Cyperus esculentus increased plant growth of some test species, while the root water extract decreased biomass production.
