摘要：

Levodopa remains the cornerstone for managing Parkinson's disease. Physician's preference usually determines the dopamine agonist chosen for the early phases of treatment. The concept of neuroprotection, however, remains unproven. A better understanding of the cause of the disease and treatment-related complications could make managing Parkinson's disease more rewarding.
