摘要
The simple manufacture of the innovative and cost-effective Acetylcholine (ACh) biosensor relies on the semiconductor properties of materials such as graphene and carbon nanotubes (CNT). The connection between concentration of ACh and the respective response in conductivity is the foundation of the biosensor. The combination of self assembly technique and and a flexible polymer substrate decreases the cost of the biosensor dramatically. The detection limit of the graphene-based biosensor for ACh concentrations is as low as 1 pM with a respond time of less than 3 seconds on average, much better than a CNT based biosensor under the same conditions. This work presents a promising technique to develop low-cost and high-performance biosensors for Alzheimer disease diagnostics.
