Magneto-optical Faraday effect of discrete magnetic films with one-dimensional quasirandom array structures

摘要
Magneto-optical (MO) Faraday effect of discrete magnetic media was analyzed theoretically taking the structural randomness into account. The analysis was achieved using the random matrix approach by employing a model with a one-dimensional quasirandom array structure. The numerical results suggest that the MO Faraday spectra (MO-FS) of the discrete media with fine structures are determined uniquely without a significant influence from the structural randomness. In such a medium, the packing density of the magnetic materials and the medium thickness were found to be key parameters which govern the unique MO-FS of the discrete medium.
