摘要
The red-brown basalt residual soilswhich are on the surface of slopes in the northwest of Guizhou were taken as the research objects in this paper. Shear strength behavior of unsaturated soils under different water content and dry density conditions are determined though the unconsolidated-drained test, the relationships between soil-water characteristic curve and shear strength behavior are compared though integrating the former research results. The relationships between shear strength and water content about the unsaturated basalt residual soil are explored under different dry density conditions. Then the influence of matric suction on shear strength behavior about unsaturated basalt residual soils is revealed. This paper will provide a basis for the subsequent studies on the slope stability analysis.
