摘要
In Today's fast-paced high-demand software development environment, the ability of software engineering learns to perform at high levels largely determines a team's success Software engineering teams must be able to quickly adapt to escalating customer demands while exceeding productivity, cycle time, and cost expectations. Software engineering teams are expected to exceed Productivity and cycle time expectations without a significant negative impact on defect rate. An organizational structure and climate, reward system software development process and the use of engineering and design tools, all have a,significant impact on a software engineering team's ability to be high performing. This paper will characterize an organizational structure, reward system, software development process and technology use that enable and promote high performance. The characterizations and perspectives presented in this paper is a summarization of a survey conducted at a Fortune 100 company; numerous team leaders with a proven track record of cultivating and managing high performance teams were surveyed.
