Cross your heart: Some historical comments about fibrinous pericarditis

摘要：
This article briefly describes the origin of one of the more common (food-related) pathologic terms-"bread and butter pericarditis." The eminent French physician, Laennec, the inventor of the stethoscope amongst several other important medical contributions, c on be credited for having coined the term that is still in common usage amongst pathologists.
