Factors Influencing Restaurant Selection in Ho Chi Minh City

The main aim of this study is to identify the factors that influence consumers to select a restaurant in Ho Chi Minh city. 310 respondents were interviewed to rate the provided attributes in a 5-point Likert scale according to their preferences in selecting a restaurant and the importance of healthy food for choosing a restaurant when dining out. On the basis of the regression analysis, the results show that consumers choose a restaurant according to the restaurant's food quality, external environment, consumers' knowledge of health issues and economic value of food.
