摘要
This paper describes a forward link multi carrier packet scheduler method for a high-speed packet data communication system. A proportional fairness method has been proposed to realize high data throughput. This paper proposes a modification to the proportional fairness method to add multi carrier capability for the improvement of data throughput. In the proposal, an access terminal with capabilities of measuring carriers simultaneously is assumed, and the procedures for choosing the target access terminal and computing an average transmission rate R are modified. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated from the improvement of throughput by computer simulations. It has been proved, in consequence, that the proposed method has the expected effect.
