摘要
The workers in the poultry sector are exposed to a number of risk factors in carrying out their tasks. In a controlled environment, the growth of poultry becomes more efficient. However, the health of the poultry farmer can become weakened due to the high concentrations of particulate material generated inside the poultry. This study aims to analyze the particle levels in poultry, as well as its possible relation to the evolutionary stage of the chicken and the association with occupational risk factors. The study was conducted in aviaries companies located in the district of Guarda. According to the results, it is evident that the dusting represents a major risk to the safety and health of poultry farmers. Particle exposure levels are far above the exposure limit value, mainly the PM5 and PM10 particles with thigher levels, which can led to cardiac and respiratory diseases.
