摘要
A mathematical model for the prediction of failures of systems designed to protect dangerous industrial facilities (damage control systems) based on stochastic branching processes is proposed. A system of linear ordinary differential equations for determining the probabilistic reliability characteristics of a technical system is considered and solved by means of the apparatus of generating functions.
