A study of set covering problem and reduction of attributes on incomplete information system

摘要
Based on the analysis of the characteristics of incomplete information system and the definition of similar relation, this paper discusses the relationship between the reduction of attributes on incomplete information system and set covering by constructing the correlation matrix, and then gives several theorems to interpret this relationship. The minimum reduction of attributes problem can be translated to the set covering problem and the minimum reduction of attribute can be got by using the set covering problem methods. In the end, one example is given to demonstrate how to construct the correlation matrix and how the ideas and methods of set covering can be applied into the problem of reduction of attributes. And at the same time the conclusion that the complexity and the precision of the reduction of attributes is O(vertical bar A vertical bar(2)vertical bar U vertical bar(2)) can be inferred,it is better than Referene 5.
