Interferometric optical-fiber sensing for two parameters

Dual-parameter optical-fiber sensing is one of most important potentials of optical fiber sensors. In this paper, the general theory for dual-parameter sensing is given, and the variety of the methods by which dual-parameter optical-fiber sensors could be achieved are described and discussed Furthermore, we propose a novel principle of interferometric optical-fiber sensing which has the potential for simultaneous measurement of more parameters.
