(Abstracted from Am J Obstet Gynecol 2021;225:179.e1-179.e6) Preterm birth (PTB) is one of the main causes of neonatal morbidity and mortality worldwide. Neonatal outcomes associated with PTB include respiratory distress syndrome, necrotizing enterocolitis, intraventricular hemorrhage, and cardiovascular abnormalities.
