摘要
The approach of integrated project delivery is being tested in Germany for complex construction projects through initial pilot projects. The project participants are carefully selected by the client and then develop the project goals and conditions, e.g. the cost framework, jointly, transparently and in a climate of trust in the early project phases. Once the client has decided on the actual execution, these goals are pursued during design and execution with common economic interests until completion. In complex projects, the application of life cycle approaches has shown that especially the associated consideration of the operational phase can bring efficiency advantages and sustainable solutions. For this reason, linking integrated project delivery with the life cycle approach can lead to further added value.This linkage raises questions for the implementation of integrated project delivery within the life cycle approach, which the authors encourage to be clarified.
