THE IMPORTANCE OF ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT SUPPORT FOR EFFICIENT PERFORMANCE IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION THE FEDERAL DISTRICT GOVERNMENT STUDY CASE

The New Public Management (NPM) model was adopted by the Public Administration in Brazil, with a primary focus on results. A theoretical position on the new public management in Brazil is exposed, the management focused on results and important actors in the implementation of public policy. The methodology followed was based on the application of a survey whose results were analyzed using the Structural Equations Model. As a conclusion, it is possible to claim that the perceptions of public servants about the variable team investment have a positive direct impact on their perceptions regarding the engaging work and positive work environment. It's also possible to claim that the perceptions of public servants about the variables engaging work and a positive work environment have a positive mediating impact on their perceptions regarding organizational support.
