摘要
The condition of old structures on German Federal Waterways requires extensive measures from repair to renewal. Due to resource constraints and long project durations, not all necessary actions can be performed. Therefore, an objectified prioritization of individual structures and network sections is required. In the case of a risk-based maintenance management, the structural assessment is carried out from two sides: the probability of failure, determined by the condition of the structure and its robustness, and the consequences of the failure. To describe the probability of failure a purely condition-based consideration of structural damage, which was favored in the past, is not the only decisive factor. The combination of established damage and general constructional robustness results in an extended condition assessment, which allows a qualitative statement on the probability of failure. A newly developed procedure for the standardized evaluation of robustness in combination with typical damage to traffic water structures is presented and demonstrated on practical examples.
