DO GREEK CONSUMERS BOYCOTT UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES?

This paper presents the results of a survey conducted among randomly selected 494 consumers residing in the urban area of Thessaloniki, Greece. The results indicated moderate adoption of boycotts among respondents. It seems that greek consumers boycott products threatening consumers safety, containing GMOs and those incorporating child labour. Consumers boycotting more are middle aged (50-59years old), well educated (post-graduates) and holding relatively higher income (40-50 th. (sic)). With regard to their values boycotters are influenced by the value of Universalism and Self-direction.
