摘要：

During the 18th century, almanacs printed in the Iberian Peninsula go through a noteworthy transformation process regarding to the type of contents they offered. One of the most relevant expressions of the evolution involves introducing brief burlesque liter-ary compositions that pretend to liven the reading of the pamphlet up. This article aims to analyse an specific part of the fiction, the burlesque poetry, considering the roles it plays, as well as the stylistic features recognizable in the Spanish and Portuguese verses.
