High-Speed Mobile Satellite Communication: Technologies and Challenges

Yaliny is a company whose aim is to create a satellite communication system with a new level of performance. It is planned that the system will, having been fully deployed, provide communication services and fast Internet connection to any customer all over the Globe. The system is designed so that its link budget will allow having up to several million users all over the world utilizing the network simultaneously. In this paper, the mission plan and the ways the satellite constellation will work are described. In addition, some aspects of the satellite antenna system development are discussed: the paper mentions modern requirements lodged onto communication systems today, as well as the solutions Yaliny engineers are developing to meet those requirements.
