Research into Track and Field Teaching's Being Marginalized in University Physical Education Classes and Countermeasures Against the Marginalization

Track and field sport is an indispensible class in university physical education, however, in actual university physical education classes, track and field teaching is seriously marginalized, which is reflected in the following: the status of track and field sport falls; the classes are not attractive, and few students select it and they have prejudice against the track and field sport and so on. In this paper, the current situation of the track and field sport in university physical education of China is analyzed, and its problems and reasons are concluded as well as effective strategies to improve the track and field teaching are proposed.
