摘要
Landslide is considered as one of the most frequent disasters in Indonesia, especially in Bandung, West Java. Unfortunately, most of the landslide-prone areas have been developed into villages or cities with a high population density, such as around of Lembang. Thus, it automatically increases the risk of landslide disasters. This present study investigates the landslide hazard zones in Lembang area from some important factors which induced landslide were identified and accordingly, geological structures and geomorphology. The results of this study are geospatial information or maps about landslide: map of landslide-prone, map of people's vulnerability to landslide hazard and capacity of residents facing disasters, as well as map of the risk potential of landslides. To produce thematic maps is needed some layers of data from geospatial data such as SRTM DEM, topographic maps, the availability of infrastructure for disaster mitigation, and awareness of people facing a disaster or people's preparedness for natural disaster. The method used is the application of GIS. SRTM DEM is used to calculate and mapping slope steepness. Data on slope steepness, elevation, distance towards major fault of Lembang and were scored and used as a parameter in landslide hazard mapping. Landslide hazard then divided into three categories: low, medium, and high. Statistical data are mapped on the basis of villages boundary. The methods are expected to define and compare the thresholds impact for the next possible landslide occurrence.
