摘要
This paper presents a novel approach for criteria weighting in multicriteria analysis (MA) for ranking alternatives with respect to multiple criteria for accomplishing a specific task. Linguistic terms are used to formulate the imprecise and often subjective weighting process. A fuzzy knowledge base is constructed to acquire the knowledge of expert decision-makers. As a result, consistent criteria weights can always be obtained, leading to effective and reliable decisions being made in solving practical MA problems.
