This paper refers to the separation and concentration of Cr (VI) species within the internal phase, the transport through interfaces and in the bulk using some appropriate extractant and carrier (ammonium quaternary salts of type R3NH+X-, where X was Cl- or HSO4-). The wastewater used was prepared with reagents and also some samples of industrial wastewater were collected. The initial concentration of Cr (VI) in wastewater was 6-92 MM and the residual concentration of Cr (VI) in the treated wastewater ranged 0.02-2 mM. The critical micelle concentration of the carrier in organic phases was 0.01 %, wt.
