摘要：
The growth curve of the average artificial night sky brightness in the period 1947-2000 at a sample of sites in North America was obtained from published measurements of the V band night sky brightness. Results show the fast exponential growth of the artificial night sky brightness in North America due to light pollution. A larger dataset will be necessary to better constrain the average growth rates and to understand the average growth curve in detail.
