摘要
We report mechanically induced long-period fiber gratings (LPFGs) coupler made by pressing two unjacketed single mode fibers between two periodic grooved plates. The peak coupling efficiency of the mechanically induced LPFGs coupler is similar to 23dB at resonance wavelength of 1555.34nm. The coupler is simple, inexpensive, erasable and reconfigurable.
