摘要
In this paper, a generic model to process multiple region of interest (ROI) is described It ensures an optimal trade-off between the image background reconstruction quality and the compression ratio. The ROI and background progressive coding is done in the framework of the embedded zero-tree wavelet (EZW) compression algorithm The ROI lossless coding takes place in the wavelet domain, it's easy to handle multiple ROIS interactively.
