Influence of Cr micro-addition on the corrosion resistance of copper alloy

摘要
The corrosive behavior of the cold rolled copper alloy in SO2 and NaCl fog environment was investigated using SEM and TEM so as to study the influence of Cr micro-addition on the corrosion resistance of copper alloy. The results showed the influence was related with corrosive environments. The corrosion resistance of alloy was increased with addition of Cr in SO2 corrosive environment; while the corrosion resistance of alloy was initially increased but later decreased with addition of Cr in the NaCl fog corrosive environment. It is also found that the corrosion resistance of alloy was reduced by local distribution of Cr.
