A system for three-dimensional layout planning of automated and manual assembly systems

摘要
The system described in the following article, simplifies the task of spatial planning of assembly stations. On the one hand this is done through automation of iterative planning tasks. On the other hand virtual reality devices are used in cases where it is more efficient to include the planner's intuition. Applications of this planning method will be shown. One application shows the spatial planning of an automated assembly work station, the other deals with a manual workstation. Furthermore the virtual reality equipment at the iwb will be described briefly. Copyright (C) 1998 IFAC.
