摘要：
The main aim of this study is to research the potentials for developing active tourism in Zemaitija National Park. The elements of active tourism were formulated, and the current situation regarding active tourism in the park was presented. Potential opportunities for developing this type of tourism in the park were revealed. It was found that the park has the beginnings of different types of active tourism, including sports-related and educational/cultural tourism. However, for it to be developed further a ZNP financial development plan for 20052015 needs to be created which would incorporate public and private sector partnerships that would develop active tourism in emaitija National Park.
