A casual model of institutional racism was developed with three independent variables (supervisory support, procedural justice; and indoctrination) and two intervening variables (supportive climate and perceived supervisory discrimination). The linkages were tested through multiple regression analysis with a sample of 146 African Americans. The results offer fairly strong support for the model, explaining 43% of the variance in institutional racism.
