Study on Practical Teaching Modes of Product Design and Development Course under the Conditions of Modern Information Technology

摘要
On the background of computer technology and advanced manufacturing technology being widely used in new product design and development, three practical teaching modes of product design and development course based on modern information technology are proposed, which include practical teaching mode of product design and development based on reverse engineering technology and rapid prototyping technology, practical teaching mode of product design and development based on virtual reality and practical teaching mode of product design and development based on mass customization. The technology used in the modes and the basic ideas on three practical teaching modes are analyzed, and three features of the practical teaching modes are summed up: comprehensiveness, authenticity and efficiency. Moreover, it is pointed out that the practical teaching modes of products design and development have improved the quality and efficiency of practical teaching practice, which results in improving students' design practical ability. Finally, the practical teaching modes based on modern information technology should be one of the main modes of practical teaching of design product design and development course.
