摘要
Intravenous administration of human immunoglobulin (MG) is a new promising possibility for treatment of autoimmune diseases. During the last decade much attention was paid to research into the therapeutic effect of IVIG in neurological disease. The submitted paper gives an overview of hitherto assembled knowledge on this treatment in the most important autoimmune neuromuscular diseases: in Guillain-Barre syndrome, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, multifocal motor neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, Lambert Eaton myasthenic syndrome, and inflammatory autoimmune myopathies. Theoretical findings on treatment of each mentioned disease are summarized in practical recommendations and the assumed trend of further research is outlined. In the conclusion undesirable effects of MG treatment are discussed as well as their prevention and treatment.
