摘要
The Doubly Fed Twin Stator Induction Motor (DFTSIM) is of interest as a variable speed drive, as it has the potential for high voltage, high power, and limited speed range applications. This study presents the simulation results of the dynamic and;steady state performances of a laboratory DFTSIM with a linear load, using two different speed control schemes, viz., decoupled control scheme and voltage space vector control scheme. While the choice of the speed control scheme is based on the need for a fast or a slow dynamic response, the need for good steady state performance can not be understated. In this context, the results;of the simulations indicate that the steady state performance of the machine with the voltage space vector control scheme is inherently superior compared to that with the de-coupled control scheme. Further, with the decoupled control scheme, the need for optimizing the decoupled control flux under dynamic conditions is revealed.
