摘要
After the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2009 hold in Copenhagen, the international community gradually reached a consensus that developing low-carbon economy is the inevitable choice to respond to climate change. Developing low-carbon economy is the way to harmonize development of society, economy and environment. And it is also the important means of realizing sustainable development. Based on the such troubles in economic development of china as the large population, fast economic growth with huge consumption of energy, this paper emphasizes the necessity and urgency of developing a low carbon economy, points out that new-type industrialization with Chinese characteristics can be achieved only by developing low-carbon economy. Moreover, according to previous studies, we come to the definition and development goals of low-carbon economy. Furthermore, in line with the definition of low-carbon economy, we analyze the present situation of development of low-carbon economy in China. At last, this paper focuses on analyzing from macro level to micro level, and from nation, industries, to individuals, to provides some reference for devise measures of promoting low carbon economy.
