Degradation of the 2-D Complex Source Point beam due to a circular dielectric Radome

摘要
In this study, the influence of the dielectric circular cylindrical radome on the antenna parameters such as directivity, gain, total radiated and absorbed power and pointing error are studied for both E- and H-polarizations. The beam field is simulated by the Complex Source Point (CSP) beam radiating from inside of a homogeneous layered dielectric cylinder taken as a model of the Radome. Such physical effects as directivity degradation or improvement due to a dielectric shell and a non-zero beam pointing error have been studied in an accurate manner.
