PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL AND PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY OF YOUNG COLLEGE TEACHERS IN CHINA PERSPECTIVE OF ECOLOGICAL VALUE

摘要
Young teachers have rapidly grown into the new force of Chinese University teachers. As the main front-line teachers, young college teachers face high-intensity work tasks and periodic assessment requirements. Professional ecology has an important impact on young college teachers individual behaviour and psychological development, if their psychological capital and professional identity level cannot adapt to the changes of work ecology, it will have a serious impact on the development of higher education in China. This study investigates young teachers in 27 universities of 5 provinces, total 600 copies of questionnaires issued and 513 valid questionnaires after sorting out. The research results show positive and significant effects of: (1) psychological capital on professional identity; (2) psychological capital and work ecology, and (3) work ecology on professional identity. This study examines the impact of psychological capital on professional identity from the perspective of work ecology, and confirms the bridge role of work ecology on psychological capital and professional identity.
