摘要
Approximate analytical techniques are established to determine the velocity distribution for laminar fluid flow through straight rectangular channels. The separation of variables is adopted for the exact analytical solution. The closed form solution for the temperature distribution in the flow field is demonstrated and the Nusselt number is evaluated. The result determined by different techniques has been presented in a comparative way to easily understand the accuracy level of predictions.
