摘要：
The emerging environmental issues such as air pollution, water pollution, energy consumption and Green House Gas emission, etc were addressed due to. the urbanisation in China. The example of Chongqing Municipality in west China was introduced. In conclusion, the government policy, building professionals include architects, civil engineers, project managers and construction developers should play an important role in enhancing the planning, designing and management of the urbanisation process taking into account environmental and human development awareness. Computer techniques and information technology are very useful in informing the sustainable urban development.
