Multiscale Modeling of Crack Propagation in a 2D Plate Using Peridynamics

摘要
A multiscale modeling technique and an adaptive peridynamic model in 2D are suggested based on scaling of micropotentials. A 2D plate with a hole under stretch and its crack propagation problem am simulated. Different sizes of horizons have been used instead of constant horizon in the numerical scheme. The convergence of multiscalle modeling on uniform and non-uniform grids in peridynamics has been demonstrated numerically. And detail comparison with the published results and classical ABAQUS simulations in terms of singularity of concentrated forces, numerical convergence are discussed.
